Pricing Opportunity

If your institution is licensed for the Pricing module and you have the necessary permissions, then the Pricing Opportunity page allows you to view a list of instruments associated with a relationship.

The Pricing Opportunity page also allows you to:

  • Switch instruments in and out of opportunity and review the Profitability banner metrics as they adjust immediately.
  • Select the Consolidated Profit Statement link to view a profit statement for the in-opportunity instruments.
  • Drill down into a single instrument to view instrument-level assumptions in the loan, deposit, or service instrument forms.
  • Add new instruments to price them using the loan, deposit, or service instrument detail panels.
  • Attach notes to loan assumptions.
  • Run scenarios and simulations for loans that you are pricing.
  • Duplicate a booked loan to create a copy so that you can modify the previous settings to gauge the profitability of the loan after renewal.
  • Create reports to access from the Reporting > View Reports page.
  • Pricing Opportunity Instrument List
    You can view the instruments associated with a relationship on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Pricing Opportunity Details
    You can view the details associated with a single instrument on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Pricing Opportunity Profitability Banner
    You can use the banner at the top of the Pricing Opportunity page to view profitability metrics for the current relationship.
  • New Loan Pricing
    Loan officers use the Pricing Opportunity page to structure the terms of deals to meet or exceed the targeted rate of return.
  • Pricing Construction to Permanent Loans
    You can link two loans to evaluate the profitability of a temporary to a permanent structure.
  • Duplicating a Loan
    You can create a duplicate of a booked loan on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Status and Interest Options
    When you are pricing a new loan, you can define the loan's status and interest options on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Months to Start and Lock Rate Options
    When you are pricing a new loan, the loan officer uses the Months to Start field to indicate or project how many months pass before the loan is expected to close.
  • Rate Type
    When you are pricing a new loan or modifying a loan whose source is not the monthly update, you can define the loan's rate type on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Setting Up Step Up Rates
    You can set up step up rates for fixed-rate loans on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Setting Up Caps and Floors
    You can set up caps and floors for floating-rate or adjustable-rate loans on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Draws
    The loan officer must construct an approximate draw schedule on the Pricing Opportunity page when pricing a new loan that is associated with a construction or land development Payment Type.
  • Forward Rate Calculations for Construction and Development Loans
    The funding of advances for a construction or development loan is in the future, so applying a forward rate to the funding costs includes compensation for the risk.
  • Loan Fees
    When you are pricing a new loan, you can set up the fees that you expect to get from the current loan on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Expense Allocations
    When you are pricing a new loan, you can define the loan's anticipated origination and monthly servicing expenses on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Participation Details
    When you are pricing a new loan, the application can model the profitability of loans that have participations sold on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Annual Profit Statement
    You can view the annualized profitability metrics for an instrument on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Notes
    You can add free-form text notes to an instrument on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Scenarios
    When pricing a loan, you can create multiple scenarios, and then view the effects of the different settings in a grid to determine which scenario is the most profitable on the Pricing Opportunity page.
  • Simulations
    You can view how an instrument's rate responds when its index is subjected to various shocks on the Pricing Opportunity page.
