Allocations

The Allocations page allows you to set up allocation rules and methodologies.

The goal of performing allocations is to take a balance sheet or income/expense amount and move it to the organization that receives the benefit. This move allows you to analyze the contribution that the individual organization has made.

Allocations are only available if your institution is licensed for Organization Profitability.

The application must know three pieces of information before it can perform allocations. The pieces are:

  • What to allocate (source account and organization)
  • Who receives the allocation (target account and organization)
  • How to determine how much to allocate

All allocation methods and rules are global, which means that you can apply them to all what-if models.
