Allocation Rules

Allocation rules determine what to allocate, to whom, and when.

You can assign all allocations set up on this page to a rule set and an area. The areas that you can select are Interest Income/Expense, Assets & Liabilities, Equity, and Non-Interest Income/Expense.

All allocation rules are global, which means that you can apply them to all what-if models. You can use rule sets to manage which rules apply to different what-if models.

Allocations page Rules tab.

Access the Rules tab from the Setup > Allocations menu option. You can "" Move groups and rules to reorder them in the list. Some setup fields are common to all allocation areas, and some information is unique to each.

The information on the right side of the screen shows the details for the selected rule in the list. Select Test Results to see the effect of the current rule. This action opens the Test Results screen. You can export the test results.

When allocations are run, it is possible to see results that are different from the example in the test results since any allocations processed before this rule can affect source amounts.
