Example with Min Category Achievement set to 0% and Max Category Achievement set to 100%.

In this example, for any of the performance categories a user is measured on, they can score between zero and 100%. If they score below zero for a category, the application rounds up the user's achievement to zero. Alternately, if the user scores 150% of their goal for a category, the achievement is rounded down to 100%.

To allow for achievement more than 100%, an administrator could raise the Max Category Achievement setting to a higher value to allow for over-achievement. Additionally, if the administrator wanted individuals to earn a negative incentive for low performance, the Min Category Achievement could be adjusted to a value, such as –20%, and that would be the lower limit.

These settings do not increase a user's overall incentive opportunity for the year, but the settings could allow the user to over-perform in one category to offset a shortage in another.
