You can set scorecard-related parameters on the Parameters setup page.
In this example, for any of the performance categories that a user is measured on, they can score between 0–100 percent. If they score below zero for a category, then the application rounds up the user's achievement to zero. Alternately, if the user scores 150 percent of their goal for a category, then the achievement is rounded down to 100 percent.
To allow for achievements more than 100 percent, an administrator can raise the Opportunity Maximum Category Achievement setting to a higher value to allow for over-achievement. Additionally, if an administrator wants individuals to earn a negative incentive for low performance, then the Opportunity Minimum Category Achievement can be adjusted to a value, such as –20 percent to lower the limit.
These settings do not increase a user's overall incentive opportunity for the year, but the settings can allow the user to over-perform in one category to offset a shortage in another.
