Assign Ranks

You can set up a user-defined hierarchy for ranking relationships based on their value to the institution on the Assign Ranks page.

You can open the Assign Ranks page by selecting Setup > Assign Ranks from the menu. The ranks appear throughout the application and only change once per month after the monthly update is processed.

Ranks in the Application

When you establish a set of ranks, the star icons appear on several Profitability module pages and the home page to provide a visual indication of relationship profitability. Ranking information is also included when you export the Profitability > Relationships and the Relationship View grids. In addition, rank names appear on the Core Ranking and Customer Ranking standard reports. This basis for segmenting clients is especially helpful to relationship managers as they evaluate the kind of products and services they can offer to their clients.

The rank assigned to any relationship can vary from month to month due to fluctuating profitability measurement values.

Relationships with a Large Fee Income Component

When more than 30 percent of the calculated value of the Rank Value measurement used to determine a relationship's rank tier comes from fee income, its ranking stars are flagged with an "" information indicator. The indicator is intended to alert you that the relationship's profitability is heavily reliant on fee income.

When appropriate, ranks and information indicators appear after the system runs an update for the most current data set.
