Use this information to understand the methods to resolve different errors
that can occur during the monthly update process.
The following resolution methods are available depending on the exception
type:
- Apply Previous Value
- This method uses the previous month's value for the month being
updated. To determine if previous values are valid, use the Edit
Grid option on the Exceptions
Detail page.
- Apply to Unknown
- This method is for records that are missing customer IDs. Instead of
rejecting these error records and being out of balance with the
Customer file, records using this method are assigned
to a system-generated Unknown customer during the monthly
update process.
- Changes to Mapping
- This method is available when the data in a field is not defined in
the mapping. An additional drop-down list becomes available allowing you to map
the unidentified data appropriately. For example, if this method is used, and an
unknown string such as 999999 is found in a record's
Application ID field, then you can select the
appropriate ID from the drop-down list.
- Temporary Correction
- This method selection causes a Correction
Value field to appear that allows you to add or select a value
from a list of options. The value is only used for the month or day being
processed. For example, if a blank interest rate is encountered, then enter the
interest rate in the Correction Value field.
- Accept with Default
- This method selection places a zero in any field where zero is an
acceptable value. When zero cannot be used, the field is left blank.
- Reject
- This method is always available in the
Resolution drop-down list. Rejected records are
ignored and are not included in the monthly/daily update.
Note: Only the Changes to
Mapping method provides a permanent fix for specific errors.
