Generating Reports

You can choose to generate reports immediately or schedule a report to generate in the future.

  1. Select Reporting > Create Reports.
  2. Select the report that you want to work with.
  3. Select a situation and follow the corresponding steps.

    Generate a Report Immediately

    You can generate regular reports or favorite reports immediately.

    1. Scroll to the bottom of the parameters list and verify that the Generate Report parameter is set to Now.
    2. Verify that all other required parameters are completed.

      If you try to advance before all the required parameters are completed, then the following message appears next to the incomplete parameter: This is a required field.

    3. Select Generate to generate the report.

      The Generate and Download option generates and immediately downloads the current report without requiring you to navigate to the View Reports page to find it. This option is not available for favorite reports.

    Schedule a Report to Generate in the Future

    You can schedule favorite reports to generate on a future date.

    1. Select the Save As Favorite option.
    2. Select the date option for the Generate Report parameter.
    3. Use the calendar to select the future date when the application generates the requested report.
    4. Select Reoccurs if you want the report to generate on a reoccurring schedule.
    5. Select if the report must generate Monthly or Daily on a specified day and time.

      When you choose Monthly, you must indicate the preferred day of the month and enter a value from 1 through 31.

      Reports set up to generate on a recurring schedule are marked with the Recurring schedule icon. icon on the Favorites tab.

    6. Verify that all other required parameters are completed.

      If you try to advance before completing all the required parameters, then the following message appears next to the incomplete parameter: This is a required field.

    7. Select Save.

    The report generates automatically on the future date.

If your report is successfully generated, then you receive a notification when the report is ready to view or print. On the View Reports page, the report appears with a status of "" Ready.

Tip: When getting started with reports, save your standard reports as favorites to retain their defined parameters. If a report's parameters look correct, then it is already saved as a favorite. If a report requires changes, then you can modify the report parameters on the Favorites tab or delete it from the favorites list.
