CECL Exception Descriptions

If Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) exceptions are detected after data is returned from Deep Future Analytics (DFA), then the exceptions are shown on the CECL Exceptions Summary page.

The number of exceptions found by DFA appears as a link in the Exceptions column on the CECL Summary page. Selecting a link opens the CECL Exceptions Summary page where all the exceptions are grouped by description.

Records Excluded from Analysis
CECL Exception Description Exception Applies To
Records Excluded: Missing required origination information Loan records with missing origination information.
Records Excluded: Unknown CECL category Loan records with a missing or unknown CECL Category.
Records Excluded: Missing origination date Records that are missing an origination date.
Records Excluded: Missing required field Records with a missing value in any required field. The exceptions are grouped by specific field names. CECL categories can have different required fields.
Records Excluded: Origination date is greater than current month Records with a negative age. The origination date is greater than the current month.
Records Excluded: Ending balance remaining on charged off loans Charged off loan records that still have an ending balance remaining.
Records Excluded: Ending balance remaining on closed loans Closed loan records that still have an ending balance remaining.

Warning: Inconsistent cash flow information Records with cash flow information that does not balance when calculated.
Warning: Missing accounts not closed or charged off Records that show a gap in history due to a missing active account. This gap occurs when an account record does not exist on the next date after a date when the record was active. The account is not closed or charged off, and it is not the end of history.
Warning: Loans charged off with no prior history Records that show a gap in history due to the appearance of a charged off account with no predecessor record on the previous date, and the charge off date is not the origination date.
Warning: Loans closed with no prior history Records that show a gap in history due to the appearance of a closed account with no predecessor record on the previous date, and the paid off date is not the origination date.
