Customer Profitability Report Parameters

You can adjust parameters for customer profitability reports. Some parameters are report-specific while others apply to all reports.

As you work through the parameters, earlier selections sometimes determine which parameters are available later.

The parameters that appear with a customer profitability report can include the following:

Discounted
Select Yes or No to control whether discounts appear in the report results.
Economic Scenario

Select the economic scenario for the report results:

  • Fed Base - Represents the Federal Reserve's base economic forecast.
  • Fed Severe - Represents the Federal Reserve's forecast if current economic conditions deteriorate.
  • Base
  • Adverse
  • Expansion
  • Custom - Users with the CECL A&R-Enhanced license can receive and review custom economic scenarios from Deep Future Analytics (DFA).
Header/Footer

Select the header and footer information that appears on your reports when Excel is the selected Report File Type.

The application provides a default header for every report, but, when you select Setup, you can create, save, and reuse your own user-defined headers and footers.

When you open an Excel®-based report in Excel®, the header does not show until you open the Excel® Header and Footer Tools. Use the Excel® search feature to locate this tab quickly. If you save the report in Excel®, then you do not have to perform this action the next time that you open the file.

Include Q Factors
Select if you want to include all, individual, or no Q Factors in the report.

  • "" = Historical Month
  • "" = Current Month
Products You Have/Do Not Have
Select the products that you want the customers included in the report to have in the Products You Have section. For loan and deposit products, you can specify minimum balances to filter the results further. In the Products You Do Not Have section, select one or more products that you specifically do not want the customers in the list to have. These products are cross-sell products. For the Cross Sell report, these options let you generate lists of customers that have certain product combinations.
Profit Measure
Select a profit measurement to use in the report. Most frequently, the choices are: Profit, Value Added, Contribution, ROE, and ROA. The profit measure and data qualifier parameters are often paired. A few reports, such as the Customer Ranking, Decile Detail, and Decile Summary reports, require a profit measure selection but do not require a data qualifier.

Select the names of the users who can receive a copy of the report from the provided Recipients list. You can send the current report to other users of the application via email.

Note: You cannot clear the name of the active user.

Save as Favorite
Select the check box and provide a name for the favorite if you want to generate the same report again without redefining the parameters.

Time Frame

Select the Time Frame field to open a calendar showing the months that you can select for the current report. Each time frame is assigned a color:

  • "" = Historical Month
  • "" = Current Month

You can also specify whether the selected months are Floating or Fixed. By default, the current month appears as a Floating time frame.

Note: When you set the time frame to Floating, the selected months move relative to the current month, or the month of the most recent successful update.

After defining all the report parameters, you are ready to generate the report. You can generate the current standard report now, if needed. You can also save the selected parameters, and then generate the report as a favorite.
