Report Parameters
As you work through the parameters, earlier selections sometimes determine
which parameters are available later.
The parameters that appear with a customer profitability report can include the
following:
- Change Value
- Select whether you want the report to show positive or negative
percentage change or dollar change values in the Largest
Relationship Change report.
- Data Qualifier
-
Select either Top or
Bottom in the first field, and then specify
whether you want the report to return results based on a percentage or a
number. For example, selecting the ROE profit measure
and then Top and 10.000
percent means that the requested report shows you the top 10 percent of what
the report is measuring based on ROE.
Note: A few reports,
like Profitable Relationships, use the
Data Qualifier but do not require a separate
Profit Measure setting since the profit
measurement is predetermined for the report.
- Decile
- Select one or more percentile tiers that you want to include in the
report.
- Discounted
- Select this option if you want discounts to appear in the report
results.
- Economic Scenario
-
Select the economic scenario for the report results:
-
Fed Base - Represents the Federal
Reserve's base economic forecast.
-
Fed Severe - Represents the Federal
Reserve's forecast if current economic conditions deteriorate.
-
Base
-
Adverse
-
Expansion
-
Custom - Users with the CECL
A&R-Enhanced license can receive and review custom economic
scenarios from Deep Future Analytics (DFA).
- Header/Footer
-
Select the header and footer information that appears on your
reports when Excel is the selected Report
File Type.
The application provides a default header for every report, but,
when you select Setup, you can create, save, and
reuse your own user-defined headers and footers.
When you open an Excel®-based report in Excel®, the header does not show until you open the Excel®Header and Footer Tools. Use the Excel® search feature to locate this tab quickly. If
you save the report in Excel®, then you do
not have to perform this action the next time that you open the file.
- Include Q Factors
- Select if you want to include all, individual, or no Q Factors in
the report.
- Instrument Type
- Select Loans or Time
Deposits to include those types of instruments in the
report.
- Layout and Formatting
-
Select options in this section to customize the look and feel of
your reports. Depending on the report, customizations can include:
-
Amount Formatting
-
Font Size
-
Include Average Column
-
Include Total Column
-
Number Decimal Places
-
Page/Row/Column
-
Rate Decimal Places
-
Show GL Numbers
-
Suppress Zeroes
- Loan Products
- Select the loan products that you want to include in the
report.
- Loss Type
- Select to include Gross or
Net losses in the report results.
- Model
- Select a model for the report results.
- Officer
- Select the officers that you want to include in the report. Only
those officers that you are permitted to access appear in the list.
- Optional Columns
- Select the optional columns that you want to include in the
report.
- Organization
- Select the organizations that you want to include in the report.
Only those organizations that you are permitted to access appear in the
list.
- Origination Date
- Select the field to open a calendar to choose an origination date
for the loans that you want to include in the report. You can only select one
month at a time. Each month is assigned a color:
- Historical Month
- Current Month
- Products
- Select the products that you want to include in the report.
- Products You Currently Have/Don't Currently Have
- Select the products that you want the customers included in the
report to have in the Products You Currently
Have section. For loan and deposit products, you can specify
minimum balances to filter the results further. In the Products You Don't Currently Have section, select one or more
products that you specifically do not want the customers in the list to have.
These products are cross-sell products. For the Cross
Sell report, these options let you generate lists of customers that
have certain product combinations.
- Profit Measure
- Select a profit measurement to use in the report. Most frequently,
the choices are: Profit, Value
Added, Contribution,
ROE, and ROA. The profit
measure and data qualifier parameters are often paired. A few reports, such as
the Customer Ranking, Decile
Detail, and Decile Summary reports, require
a profit measure selection but do not require a data qualifier.
- Recipients
-
Select the names of the users who can receive a copy of the
report from the provided list. You can send the current report to other
users of the application via email.
Note: You cannot
clear the name of the active user.
- Report Cosmetics
-
Select a template to define the cosmetics of the report such as
the formatting, background and font colors, lines, blank rows, and page
breaks.
The application provides a default template for every report,
but, when you select Setup, you can create, save, and
reuse your own user-defined report cosmetics.
- Report File Type
- Select the output format for the report. For most reports, the
choices are Excel and PDF. Some
reports also offer delimited options such as Comma
Delimited, Semicolon Delimited, or
Fixed Column Width.
- Save As Favorite
- Select this option and provide a name for the favorite if you want
to generate the same report again without redefining the parameters.
- Share With
- Select each user that you want to share the report with, and
indicate whether the users have Read Only or
Editable access to the shared favorite report. This
parameter appears when you select the Save As Favorite
option.
- Time Frame
-
Select this field to open a calendar showing the months that you
can select for the current report. Each time frame is assigned a color:
-
- Historical Month
-
- Current Month
You can also specify whether the selected months are
Floating or Fixed. By
default, the current month appears as a Floating time
frame.
Note: When you set
the time frame to Floating, the selected months move
relative to the current month, or the month of the most recent successful
update.
After defining all the report parameters, you are ready to generate the report.
You can generate the current standard report now, if needed. You can also save the selected
parameters, and then generate the report as a favorite.
