CECL Subcategories
Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) subcategories make it possible to group, drill down into, and examine subsets of a category's data on both the CECL Validation and Analysis pages.
You can create and delete CECL subcategories on the
page. You can enter Qualitative Factor Coefficients (Q Factors) at the subcategory level and include subcategories in CECL reports when appropriate.
In the example, there are three Consumer Installment subcategories, but the Electronics subcategory is the only one that currently contains data, so it is the only subcategory shown in CECL-related pages and reports. You can view the history of all CECL subcategories on the Monthly Update Process page. The application allows you to select subcategories as CECL categories so that you can upload history to them rather than to their parent category.
The values shown for the parent category are a summation of the values in its subcategories.
