Setting Up an API Item for the FPS Function Manager

The Financial Performance Suite (FPS) Function Manager Excel® add-in requires the Client ID and Private Key from an API item that is set up on the Manage APIs page in FPS.

You must install the FPS Function Manager Excel® add-in from the Microsoft® Office Store.

Select Setup > Manage APIs from the menu.
Select Add.
Enter a Name for the API for your own reference.
You can name the API FPS Excel Add-in.
Select Generate or enter a Public Key manually.
Select Download, and then select Private Key.

CAUTION
Download the private key before saving. The private key is not available after you save and is required to sign in to the add-in.
Save the generated key in a secure location.
Select Forecasting as the Scope.
Select Save.

The Client ID and downloaded Private Key are used to sign in to the FPS Function Manager Excel® add-in.
