Use this information to copy, modify,
export, or delete advanced decay categories.
Any setup change to a category affects
all accounts that are linked to it. If you delete a category, then the
Decay setting for any affected accounts in the Chart of
Accounts is changed from Decay Tables to
None.

Select a What If scenario.

Select a situation and follow the corresponding steps.

Copy a Category |
- Select the category that you want to copy from the list.
- Select
Copy.
- Enter a unique Table Name for the new
category.
- Select Save.
The new category becomes the active category. You can modify the new category as
needed.

Modify a Category |
- Select the category that you want to modify from the list.
- Change the Table Name.
- Change the Time Periods fields.
- Select Save.
Note: If you choose to show
fewer time periods, then decay speeds in periods that no longer appear are lost.
When Annual is changed to Monthly, or
vice versa, all decay speeds are cleared since they are no longer valid.

Delete a Category or Scenario |
- Select the category that you want to delete a scenario for from the
list.
- Select Manage Scenarios.
- Select
Delete for the scenarios that you want to remove.A
confirmation appears to verify that you want to delete the selected
scenario.
- Select Apply.
- Select the category that you want to delete the decay table for
from the list.
- Select
Delete.
- Select Delete to confirm the deletion.
The system enforces the following restrictions:
- You cannot delete the Flat Rate scenario.
- If you try to delete a category that is assigned to an account on
the Chart of Accounts, then the application
informs you but allows you to continue.

Export Setup Information |
- Select the category that you want to export from the list.
- Select Export.
- Select what you want to export:
- Select the type of file that you want to export:
- Select Export.
When you select one of these options, the system sends you a
notification, and the exported file appears in the grid.
